The Evans family have farmed in the Talybont area for over fifty years.
In 2008 they started on a new venture, converting the derelict farm buildings at Tynrhelyg into the present day Holiday Cottages.It took three years to complete taking pride, care, and attention to detail to make it something special.
Our first guests arrived for New Year 2011. We did not know what to expect!
On leaving, these were the comments found in the visitor’s book.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Evan and Carol who have made our stay here very enjoyable and have been abundantly hospitable. They have been helpful, kind and knowledgeable, nothing has been too much trouble and we very much enjoyed the ‘Farmers Weekly’ and the Sloe Gin!
The cottage has exceeded our expectations: the quality of finish, layout and location. We don’t want to go home!”
Sadly Carol passed away in 2016, Evan now looks after the cottages assisted by his Family and two exceptionally good, reliable, cleaners.
We have always been on first-term names with all our guests and have made lots of good friends over the years.
