We had a fabulous week and an extra day thanks to Evan who was so helpful.
The cottage was so clean and cosy with the area around so beautiful.

Our 2nd visit, blessed with fantastic weather. Evan – he’s wonderful so is Taff. It was lovely walking our dog down the lane with Taff in the evening.
Ynys Las beach is still our favourite to walk the dog. The cottage is such a comfortable stay – and the hot tub is a treat after a long day out walking.

Sorry to be leaving this comfy, cosy cottage and the lovely Evan. Our first visit to this part of Wales and we couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore from.
The kids have loved playing on the beach at Borth and didn’t even moan about the walk over the dunes to get there.
We took a boat trip from New Quay with Seamore’s, they were very knowledgable about the area and wildlife, would definitely recommend.
We have had a lovely and relaxing holiday.

Amazing place with a great view, hot tub was a bonus. Cottage is fabulous, everything you need and more, beautiful place to stay.
Evan was a perfect host and made us feel really welcome. Our little baby, Delilah has enjoyed watching the birds every morning.
Fantastic beaches and plenty of walks you can do that are doggy friendly.
We have all had a fantastic time and are sad to be leaving, hopefully the future holds another visit.

This is our second visit to Helygen and we have already booked our third visit. Jack the dog definitely recognised the cottage and remembered the fun time that he had last year.
We had the most wonderful relaxing time in Helygen. Hot tub definitely a hit even in the rain. Discovered Ynys Las beach and the vast expanse of soft sand, perfect for dogs and children.
Evan was helpful and friendly as always . We are so glad we discovered this cottage and are looking forward to coming back again.

Another fantastic stay at Helygen, we loved to see the lambs in the fields next to the cottage, sometimes we see them being born!
We all enjoy staying here as there is so much going on around in the area. The hot tub is a big attraction as well.

This is our third stay with Evan and we already look forward to the next visit. We have stayed in both Helygen and Eithinog and have always found them to be of a high standard and immaculate condition.
Sitting in the hot tub looking out at the beautiful view is one of our favourite ways to relax after a day of exploring.
We recommend visiting the Red Kite feeding center, the Rheidol Railway to Devils Bridge and Corris Craft center. Morgan’s Butchers in Aberystwyth is a great spot for a carvery roll and if it’s dry head up Constitution Hill, the views are spectacular. Aberdyfyi is also worth a visit.
Evan you have been as always, a wonderful host. Thank you for always taking care of us and ensuring we have a great stay.
The work you and Carol put into these cottages really shines through and it feels like a second home to us.
You are the hardest working man we know and have the biggest heart. Stay safe, keep well and we’ll see you soon!

This is our second stay at Llechwedd Mawr, the first being November last year. Great walks around the area.
Reggie the Rottweiler had a great time too despite being electrocuted twice by the electric fence.
Weather was typically Welsh but it did not detract from our enjoyment.
Evan again has been the perfect host and nothing is too much trouble – many others would do well to take a leaf out of this book.
When we get home we will certainly be booking again.
Finally, for the plane spotters watching high level dog fights by multiple aircraft was interesting as was the low level single F35 transiling up to LFA7.

Given it was the end of June – the weather was poor, scenery – lovely, house very comfortable.
Evan and Glenys were amazing, we had a tyre puncture and an injured dog they were so helpful!
Fishing for trout was fun – but no joy – suggest you read George Baron’s books here in the cottage for advice.
Saw a ‘Tuscano’ plane and two F 35’s fly over the house at about 4pm one clear day.
Food and drink at the Wild Fowler was excellent. All had a great time here at the cottage.
